so you wanted an adjustable light that you could set to the same angle the rack would have offered it?


I just mounted my light to the seatstay... It works fine for me.


It's hard to tell from the picture, but the light is angled towards the street and towards driver's sight line. All the rack mounts I've seen, cygolite included, are just brackets that mount to the tab on the rack with no angle adjustment. With panniers the seatstays are out also. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for household scrap(or a few bucks at the hardware store) its not a bad option to have on the bike.
