The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued new rules that went into effect on December 1, 2009 aimed at blogs like BikeHacks. We must disclose whether we received products for free or received monetary payment for reviews published on our site.
Every now and then some companies will send us freebies (a.k.a. - swag) for us to test out or to pass on to readers that participate in contests we run on the site. We never have and never will ask that a company provide monetary compensation for such reviews and do not agree to only write reviews favorable to products sent along to us. We are objective in our reviews and will tell it like we see and experience it.
