Update: This thing had all kinds of lateral wobble from the start. Now that it's been on the bike for a little while now and I have used it as a cargo rack instead of just a fender and rear light holder it's gotten worse. The problem originated with the fact that I took round tent poles and hammered the ends flat. For the horizontal poles I not only hammered the ends flat but I bent the ends twice to widen the "rack" and square it up a bit instead of it being a complete triangle. Any sence I've used it to carry a 12 pack a few times, and 3 bags of aluminum cans a few times the verticle poles have started to crack. They are cracking pretty much from where they are flattened (attached to my "wheel lugs") and just before the pipe goes back to being round.
