Humans try to control traffic and do not do a very effective job. Mother Nature on the other hand can control traffic quite well. During a typical rush hour in Boston Storrow Drive is a parking lot. I ride right next to Storrow and a major bummer is a noise caused by the traffic. Today? No noise.

As far as commutes go, it was one of the best ever. It will be interesting to see what happens over night, however my commute with normal tires on the bike bath (sp. path) was great. Sorry, I'm not going to try to scare you like the professional news people.

To be fair, Mother Nature encouraged, your governor made it happen. Otherwise there would have been lots of interesting noises as cars slalomed everywhere!

Do you have an article about this bike bath of yours? Just curious what type of soap you're using.
And why did they ban cars from the road when there's less than an inch of snow on the ground? I mean seriously: If you can still use a bicycle to get around, then a car should have no problems going around. This is just silly.
