The differences you see in the picture of the reflective tape can simply come from the curvature of your fender. The yellow happens to be strait on, while others are at an angle.

These tapes are fairly simple DOT stardarized, so I think they are pretty much the same. Cheap place to buy them are like Harbor Freight or Graingers..

PLEASE use every curved surface for applying this tape! If you look at why clothing with reflective piping works so well, it is BECAUSE it is curved. With a curve, more angles of incidence are reflected back, and so the whole purpose is to be seen, and thus curved surfaces are the best! An IDEAL reflector is a sphere!

Maybe if you work the reflective tape on with a heat gun or hair dryer it will more readily accept the curved shape.
