i think hal would give that locking job at least a B+. those look like old U-locks that *might* fall to the bic-trick (some do, some don't), but a U-lock through the rear-wheel and rear-triangle with no extra space, and another U-lock through the front-wheel and frame. but with a bike like that... are two U-locks really necessary?
i'm not sure about NYC, but in most american cities just a front basket would serve as an effective theft deterrent... not to mention the streamers, bows, paint, etc.
obviously, someone loves that bike :)

I was going to ask if any locks at all would be necessary for "bikes like that." uuugh. Nasty.
