Relying upon a bike for most of your transit needs does pose some challenges. One challenge is carrying stuff. I rely upon a rear rack and a combination of panniers and backpacks to meet my needs. I would love to experiment with a trailer sometime, it's just a fourth floor walk up that makes me hesitant about relying on a trailer.
Reader timebombtimmy was cruising around and found the site of a designer by the name of Christophe Machet. Christophe designed what is called the Camioncyclette - a bike capable of carrying 150 Kilograms (for American readers that's approximately 1,320 quarter pounders with cheese). I know it's rude to guess a woman's weight, but I'd guess this gentleman is safely under the maximum carrying capacity.
