Reader John, who blogs over at Hackin5hit, is no stranger to Bike Hacks. He has submitted two great hacks before. To be reminded you can visit the entry on a ceiling mounted repair stand and the entry on the wheel chair that was repurposed into a bike trailer.
John contacted us again with another great little hack that also made its way onto Instructables. Below is the intro and the full meal deal is also on Hackin5hit. I might have an empty can of Guinness that would serve this purpose nicely . . . take it away John -
So I needed some coolguy mudflaps for my hacked together fenders on the ol' commuter bike.
Since I had a ton of the empties floating around, I decided to go with some beer can mudflaps.
I've been drinking PBR since before it was the hipster ubiqui-beer.................... and I like making the coolguys jealous................... so..

Totally stylin! But... that's a nasty slicing injury waiting to happen!

Don't cut your leg on that -- seriously. Actually, I'd say that using an aluminum can for this purpose is a really bad idea.
Buy some rubber "stair cover" material from home depot and just cut to length, use a small bolt and nut or 2, and done.
