i know an artist who goes around nyc and covers different objects with crochet... she even covered a gimongous nyc water tank completely... in fact, her husband is my boss... this may have been her doing.

It looks like you could actually still ride it (with great care) because it looks like the wheels can be uncovered as well as the pedals... Would be very interesting seeing if you could...
