I recently returned from a trip from Seoul and Tokyo. Although the time I spent in Seoul was short and it was raining, I still managed to get off a few shots of bike culture in this Korean city of over 10million.
Nice rearview, however its a fail on the lock job
This folding bike had an unusual seat cover with adhesive, not sure if its a parking permit?
Seriously hacked trailer...would love a pic of this one fully loaded
Not too many people out riding in the rain
Hacked rack + a rearview that will provide a clear view of the bus thats about to run you over
Nice t-shirt I spotted in a store
A nice job hacking this rack for hauling
The bike lane is the perfect spot to park your Mini
Kit Series by Korean artist Eddie Kang...
...spotted near ride BIKE save the EARTH.
Pics from Tokyo coming as soon as I recover from jetlag!

Thanks for sharing! Seoul has soul indeed.

And I'm sure there'd be so much more to be found around the city. Asia has some great improvisation, tinkering and tampering with bikes. Talk about mashups--it's being going on here for ages. I need to document some of the weird and wonderful mashups around Taiwan where I live. That's in the to-do list as of now.

You obviously took the Oregon weather with you to Seoul dude . . . looks brutal.

The third picture with the sticker on the seat looks similar to a sticker used here in Taiwan that the cops will stick on your bicycle/scooter when it is parked in one place for too long.
After the warning period indicated on the sticker is up, if the sticker is still on the bike it is assumed to be abandoned and the bike will be removed.

What is language for? Some people seem to think it's for practicing grammar rules and learning lists of words - the longer the words the better. That's wrong. Language is for the exchange of ideas, for communication.
